Alejandra I. Vilchis

Alejandra has a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois at Chicago Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is also trained in Collaborative Divorce, Divorce Mediation, and Domestic Violence.

While she focuses on Guardianship cases here at Clancy & Associates, Ltd., Alejandra also has extensive experience in family law matters such as divorce, parentage, post decree modifications and enforcement issues. Additionally, she works on adoptions and cases for guardianships of minors.

Alejandra worked as a horticulturalist and landscape designer for over ten years prior to starting her career in law, and she continues to enjoy plants and gardening during her free time. She is also a Disney fan and loves going to Disney World as often as she can with her family.

Alejandra is an active member of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois, Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and Collaborative Divorce Illinois. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Latina/Latino Alumni Association of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Alejandra is bilingual in Spanish.
