Effective transition planning requires keen knowledge and preparedness to execute a student’s life goals. This session will offer an overview of the legal issues involved in transition planning, including how the IEP and transition plan impact a student’s application for public benefits. Discuss special education transition planning with a focus on applying the legal requirements of transition planning and coordination between schools, adult service agencies, and community partners through advocacy strategies.
